This case describes a newly boosted middle manager in a worldwide, multi cultural organization who's challenged by a number of variables in the workplace which are affecting her and her team's ability to perform to the expectations of her regional manager.
While it had be simple to blame the new supervisor, deeper investigation in fact illustrate that lots of forces are at work here along with her inexperience including communication of strategy and performance targets, mismanaged team members, ethnic inconsistencies, and also too little leadership direction or skill from the very top to her supervising supervisor.
