On the one hand, this case study is devised as opportunity costs at Fibertec and a vehicle for understanding costs. On the subsequent side, it encounters the decision of whether to shut one of its departments and outsource it to an engineering business. Additionally, this file allows for an analysis of what might be the greatest choice using diverse criteria (economic, level of risk, people involved, etc.).
One must take into account actual savings and those that, as costs incurred, do not change the decision since the prices are the same in both situations, to calculate the differential costs of the two options. Also contemplated are the opportunity costs for each option and for each possible savings.
