This note sets out a set of behavioral methods for the expression of emotions effective interpersonal interaction. Skillful expression of emotion has a number of advantages in interpersonal interactions. The note begins with the premise that emotions are always present in every interaction, regardless of the subject or the participants. Expressing these emotions, not just suppressing them, using the methods described in the note leads to greater effectiveness in interpersonal communication.
