Excel Academy Charter Middle School Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This case is set in the summer of 2002 in the newly approved charter school in Boston. The founders of the school have a choice of compensation plans, as they finish work on team teaching in primary school. In particular, the founders actively considering two performance-based compensation plans as an alternative to the standard salary structure of public schools. These programs vary in the extent to which they reward the person and the performance of the school, and both are controversial in principle and in practice.
