According to Aquinas, the highest good is seek through the happiness that can only be attained through the knowledge of god. According to him, the world is temporary and lacks the presence of happiness. He suggested, that the external happiness in this world and after is only by seeing God and is ultimate happiness.

He argues that even if the individual attains the maximum enjoyment and pleasure, he may still remain unhappy, due to the desire for more. The experience or thought of having a happiness is also a negative reinforce, and thus leads to frustration and unhappiness.

Moreover he also suggests that there is a difference between the enjoyment and happiness. The enjoyment refers to the fulfillment of the worldly desires while happiness is attained through eternal means which is only found with God (Williams, 2003).

He also outlines that virtue is the courage and individual has to overcome the individual’s fears in order to pursue a virtuous life. According to him courage is the virtue, which allows the individual to overcome the fears and other similar situations. Moreover, he suggests that the whole ethics and morality is based n the existence of God. According to him, the ultimate relationship with God allows the individual to remain content and hopeful and under His fear, perform good deeds and generate beneficial outcomes for the society.

He states that the strong relation with God allows the individuals to enjoy the world and hereafter pleasures while remaining True to its purpose. Highest Good, Happiness and Virtue

According to Aristotle, the highest good lies in the happiness and living well. He argued that the individual seeks well being which triggers the happiness in the state of mind, leading to the physical and mental well being. He suggested that though it is eminent that living well may not always guarantee happiness or vice versa, it does have an effect on human body leading to happiness. Infact, Aristotle suggested that all good is directed to attain the digested good eudemonia.

Moreover, according to the Aristotle, the virtue is achieved through maintaining the balance between the happiness and the sadness on a balanced scale. He outlined, that the happiness is a within factor and the individual can be happy if the intrinsic caters effecting him are positive (M.D., 2013).

Character and Duty

Aristotle suggests that the moral character of the individual is deemed only when the both are better off in terms of feeling and emotions. He outlines that the Moral character is not merely the tendency capacity of feeling to behave in a particular way but rather it is the trade off between two parties involves that are being better off through feelings and action. According to him, one cannot behave morally ethically right unless, the feelings or the actions are satisfied in the given situation of trust or chaos.

Place of God and Pleasure

According to Aristotle theory, not specific emphasis has been given on the God Place and Ethical action. Infact, the theory of Aristotle suggest the action and moral behavior of the individual as the standalone behavior that is developed within the individual and through the external factors that effects the individual thinking. Why ethical system is better?

Well by analyzing the overall philosophies it can be said that the Mills ethical philosophy and system is better than the other ethical system. It is due to the fact that Mills system incorporates the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that effects happiness both. In fact, it incorporates the basic of consequentialism that produces net happiness to the living beings, by amplifying the happiness level, and evaluating the effect at the end.

The particular ethical system also incorporates the religious factor that strengthens the values and also offers a clear distinction and understanding of purpose of life and Gods creation. Moreover, it also incorporates the clear cut strategies that the system may adopt in order to bring happiness in the society and the highest good, which other models lack. Lastly, the Utilitarian system does not rigidly refers to an action as good or bad. It incorporates the grey areas that allows the development of the ideas and the concepts for better society.

Though others systems such as Kant system, and Aquinas also incorporates the religious factor, however, the definition of happiness and pleasure along with duty and character are not strongly developed. Yet, the ethical system also have great value in the development of the strong ethical system, however, there is need for developing a balance between extrinsic and intrinsic value with incorporation of religion and society both, to create right mix that serves the best purpose...........
