Gradually, as the decades have passed the rocket technology has improved so much that the humans are now dreaming to colonize Mars. The reason for this exponential human advancement is because the scientists weren’t afraid of failures and they took errors positively and made further technological improvements. The idea of optimism and pessimism has been clearly mentioned by Schulz. It says that how people remain optimistic even after they commit errors and can achieve success in life. Elon Musk in his interview once said that he couldn’t sleep for nights when his rocket blew apart, he then worked day and night to improve the technology and didn’t worry about his failures and remained optimistic and developed one of the best Rocket Company, Space X. Now he has proposed that humans can travel from one part of the world to another within hours. (O'Kane, 2017) Musk’s optimism and fearlessness has made him think he can achieve whatever he wants.
Human development has been achieved on the back of mistakes committed by the great scientists. Schulz speaks about how the humans shouldn’t be afraid of wrongdoing because it lets them improve their mistakes. The practical of this philosophy gave rise to many wonders of the science and technology. Errors are bound to happen when doing an experiment but the scientists kept on trying until they achieved their target. They saw the brighter side of the things and instead of wallowing in shame, they took it upon them to make it happen. They fought with the world about their ideas and stuck to their plans and eventually gave us the devices like Apple gadgets and wonderful cars. In the end, it can be concluded that the human development due to Science and technology is because of the bravery that scientists showed against the failures and they were not afraid of their mistakes. Therefore, the idea presented by the author Schulz is that; being wrong shouldn’t let you down as it has paved a way for greater human development...........
