INTRODUCTION:
The essay is about comparing culture of two different countries. Culture is a behavior, beliefs and way of life any group of people, which can be a country, a tribe or even a society, adopts or exercises. While the world has become a global village due to the advancements in technology and new and faster means of communication that has enabled the distances and gaps among societiesto shrink however,there is a very clear difference in how the people live, believe and behave and this is more likely to exist in the future as well.
However, there are some similarities in some practices in the culture of some countries and I would like to compare Afghanistan and Pakistan (Encyclopedia).
CULTURE:
PAKISTAN:
Pakistan is an Islamic country; the official name of the country is Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The majority of the country comprises ofMuslimsand that proportion is roughly more than 90 percent. While there are also minorities who reside in the country and they are Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists and few other religions. The neighbors of Pakistan are Afghanistan, Iran, India and china. The southern part of Pakistan is a coastal strip that extends from Karachi and all the way to Gwadar; Baluchistan.
The total area of Pakistan is 796,096 square kilometers and the country is blessed with all four seasons. It is a location that consists of mountains, seas, rivers and deserts. It got its independence from the British India and the country is fairly new in the world map but the culture and traditions along with the tribes and societies that live in the rural areas of the country is as old as the time can go.
Some of the most historical heritages like Mohenjo-Daro, Harappa and Taxila also originated from Pakistanand the present tribes of the northern areas of the country have also been the residents of the area for fairly long time. There are four provinces Sindh, Punjab, Khyberpakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan in Pakistan along with Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and an independent state of Azad Kashmir.
The national dress of the country is shalwar-qameez and the official language is Urdu. There are several ethnicities in Pakistan and along with those ethnicities are several cultures, languages and traditions. There are several cultural languages like Sindhi, Punjabi, Siraiki, Balochi, Pashto and several others (Karin Mittmann).
The northern part of the country is a Pashtun dominated territory that hasits ethnical and cultural linkages with Afghanistan. They speak Pashto and their way of life is also pretty much the same as of Afghans on the other side.........................
