Being a massage enthusiast, he immediately spotted a difference in the city's health spa market for a value-for-money easiness merchandise. One conversation with his colleague and soon-to-be business associate, Eve Zhou, cemented the decision to start drafting plans for a Western-style health spa with a mystical oriental touch.
Dragonfly Therapeutic Escapes was established in 2003. Within the first two years of operations, the partners had successfully started three stores and had no plans of stopping there. By March 2009, Dragonfly ran a network of 20 local divisions and three branches overseas. The question was how to manage rapid expansion without undermining its high standards and the brand.
