While the DSHM had once utilized its greater learning capacity to depose its Japanese struggle, it now faces the prospect of a similar attack from new Chinese competitors. DSHM would become uncompetitive, without outsourcing some of its work to China.
Nevertheless, in outsourcing the work, some skills would always need to be transferred, potentially teaching the future opposition and supplying them with a platform to attack the core markets of DSHM.
