Corruption in La Paz: A Mayor Fights City Hall (Sequel) Case Solution
When a youthful, former mining executive with no preceding elective office encounter is elected Mayor of La Paz, Bolivia in 1985, he anticipates to assault overstaffing and infamous inefficiency sharply. But, within weeks, Mayor Ronald MacLean finds that, although he confronts some unsurprising antagonists, including public sector unions’ immune to staff cutbacks, he also faces problem in even understanding the inner workings of the city authorities. MacLean finally recognizes the issues he faces are those of inefficiency than a powerful antagonist: corruption. The second part of the case especially spells out strategies which come from MacLean's belief that corruption is a manifestation of ethnic or ethical issues than one of badly-designed systems which supply the medium for corruption to take hold.
