This case documents the history and development of the charity in providing a quality education CARE (Cooperation for Rehabilitation and improvement of education) under the leadership of its chairman, Seema Aziz. Sim started CARE in 1988 as a small, voluntary efforts to help flood victims in Sheikhupura city, Lahore (Pakistan), and later directed the organization focus on providing quality education to children from low-income families. After more than ten years of effort that led to the creation of 6 CARE-owned schools and 20 schools of the adoption by the Government of Punjab, Seema faced with an important decision, which will determine the future of CARE. In September 2002, the Government of Punjab CARE proposes to take another 140 public schools. The proposal left Sima at a crossroads, I accept the mission would achieve CARE by accelerating the spread of education. However, it would invite problems associated with managing rapidly growing organization, providing additional funds and other institutional resources, and the establishment of professional and well-motivated human resource base to support the expansion of the decisions to be taken for several months. On the other hand, rejecting the Government's proposals will allow sim to care through a gradual process of growth to ensure control over the policy and implementation, minimizing the risks associated with financial stability, institutional and human resources, and above all prepare for a possible leadership necessary for growing organization. For Sima was a really hard decision. She felt that she contemplated CARE proposal to prepare for the challenge, thousands of children have lost hope in basic education and the opportunity to live as a privileged part of society. While Sima heart was really tempted to take on the government's proposal, her mind was well aware that it must choose its own version of the mind. "Hide
