Entrepreneurial leadership is critical to economic growth in all countries, but little is known about the leadership style of entrepreneurs in transition economies such as the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China). There was a need for research in cross-cultural similarities in entrepreneurial characteristics that support the argument for the convergence of different cultures. This article investigates the entrepreneurial leadership style is based on interviews with 130 Russian business model over the last five years. The results showed that the majority of these entrepreneurs to open leadership style is similar to U.S. entrepreneurs, adding support for the convergence theory of entrepreneurial leadership style.
