It was October 2013, for reputedly neglecting to supply a supportive work environment for its female associates and global law firm Clifford Chance was coming under fire for the 2nd time in less than a year. A memo that was issued with the title ”Speak Effectively” to the U.S. companies and subsequently ignited controversy, as one of the female associate made claim that gender-specific advice in memo was sexist.
