Sleep researcher Chris Winter, MD, had just finished the compilation of "jet lag", and the game outcome data for 22 855 Major League Baseball games in the nine-year period. His interest was whether the jet lag affected which team won / lost professional baseball game. Was the win percentage is higher for the team, which was less jet lag? And if it was higher, the difference was significant enough to warrant publication?
