Cancer Care Ontario, a firm supervises the cancer treatment, encountered several challenges while implementing an innovative strategy across Ontario for the reduction of wait times for breast cancer and prostate cancer therapy as wait times jumped to more than two months. The board of directors at Cancer Care Ontario, a regional body that deals with different cancer centers situated in the province, asked the special advisor on cancer treatments to the Ontario Minister of Health and Long-Term Care to present a report on his suggestion. While formulating the short, medium, and long term approaches to resolve the wait time issue, the primary challenge is to balance all the different stakeholders’ interest.
