British Broadcasting Corp. (A): One BBC Case Solution
The new director at BBC, Greg Dyke, must make a choice on whether to expand an already ambitious change effort at the world's biggest public service broadcaster. The first results of the attempt are quite favorable: audience numbers are up, overhead costs have lessened, while the company has also lessened its layers of management in order to bring BBC nearer to its viewers. Nevertheless, workers say they believe that there's little co-operation between members of distinct sections and don't feel their views are heard.
The director general pondered over what can be done in order to resolve the issues and unlock the creative possibility that is unrealized he feels exists within the BBC. As the leader of an organization with a public service mandate but private sector competition, what can while meeting his multiple constituencies Dyke do to improve morale and imagination?
This is just an excerpt. This case is about LEADERSHIP & MANAGING PEOPLE
