Employee Benefit Outsourcing (EBO) unit BPO, Inc is booming as a result of the trend in the industry towards greater outsourcing of business processes. Despite the rapid growth of income, the unit EBO could not make a profit in part because of problems with its operation. Six Sigma project was initiated to develop a computer simulation model of health and social service delivery process to help better manage the operational issues. Identify and measure phase of Six Sigma has been completed, and it includes a draft charter, process map, detailed operational and data processing, test performance. Students should use the data to develop their own simulation model, check it with the reference data, and then use this model to complete the analysis, improvement and control of project phases of Six Sigma. In particular, students can use a simulation model to test the incremental change in the current process, as well as a test of the more radical changes in the process such as the High-Touch, inexpensive option proposed new Senior Vice President of Operations EBO.
