Roger Cahill has depleted less than a year of his time as head of the Mobile Division of BoldFlash, a flash memory component maker. On the corporate level, BoldFlash has conformed to a challenging and evolving market, but the Mobile Division is struggling. The four groups within the unit refuse to work jointly, as well as the unit lately did not capitalize on an important new product chance.
Cahill has formed numerous organizational and personnel changes since taking the helm, to address the problems. Eroding margins and confronting low morale, Cahill is under pressure to fulfill with his next challenge-reforming the product development process in an attempt to save the Section.
