Less than a week prior to Barack Obama was due to be sworn in as the 44th president of America, Obama for America (OFA), the president-elect's official campaign organization, declared the creation of the post-election association, Organizing for America. The new association would keep the campaign field team offices open subsequent to Obama took charge of the nation for the express goal of influencing supporters to back the program of his administration.
The case inquires whether the new president should exploit social media tools to activate the grassroots, or whether he should abandon these unconventional tools in order not to upset politicians in Washington and describes the actions of the Obama for America campaign.
