Christopher Lenard Kimberly Slater and his old friend are investigating the notion of developing a student-housing apartment in the vicinity of University of Wisconsin, Madison, by imitating Slater’s tremendously successful, similar development near the University of Florida. Madison seemed to present demographic states and alluring marketplace for investment in student home in the summertime of 2012. But before investing a large share of his private wealth to the endeavor, Lenard should run a more careful investigation of its own potential dangers and returns.
Students will evaluate both the merits and pitfalls of numerous strategies to the fiscal evaluation of real estate development projects, by placing themselves into the shoes of a budding real estate entrepreneur.
