This case is designed for a wide range of students / executive audience, and is able to be used successfully in a number of courses. It can be used in courses in international economics, international finance, international political economy, financial risk management, and regional courses focusing on politics or economics emerging markets / Latin America. Ideally, students / managers would be macro-and microeconomics, however, I found that the students / managers with any of these courses are still well in the case of the analysis. This is a complex case study and is particularly useful in the MBA or executive MBA, of course, but can be taught successfully in advanced undergraduate courses.
