Creation and development of Dresden AMD, Germany manufacturing site shows how to develop processes in the organization, and how these processes are institutionalized in a unique culture. Located in Saxony in eastern Germany (the former GDR), investment in the region, AMD uses historical and rather unique skill base in engineering and science, and catalyzes the regeneration and growth of one of the largest semiconductor clusters in Europe. Contrary to popular belief, in the semiconductor industry, the team of Dresden just copied from his house corporate locations in the United States, the processes and practices, in its view, to work in Germany, but did not follow it up strategy.
