A planned private-public partnership (P3) calls for a Calgary-based private enterprise, Alta Injection Molding (Alta), the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) as well as the government of Canada. Alta has been chosen to collaborate with SAIT because it developed a unique solution to generate revenue throughout its value chain.
Alta's strategy towards cultivating innovation revolves around a seven-step method of turnkey initiation. In this P3, Alta would have accessibility to the equipment, while SAIT pupils would gain exposure to the plastic making procedures and have the chance to be connected to distribution channels or business leaders through the big network of Alta. Considering the parties important differences exist in terms of mindsets, aims and concerns. Writers Michael Roberts and Travis Guay are affiliated with MacEwan University
