AIB Nagoya Conference 2011: After the March 11 Earthquake and Tsunami Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

On April 13, 2011, somewhat more than three months before a yearly conference of the Academy of International Business (AIB) was to be held in Nagoya, the program chair of the conference had to decide whether to go proceed with the summit as intended subsequent to a massive earthquake that struck Japan on March 11, triggering a horrific tsunami and subsequent radiation leak after damaging a nuclear plant.

Every challenge posed a threat to the triumphant operation of the meeting, as well as the interaction among them, along with the element of time, left the application chair's decision making process increasingly sophisticated.
