This sequel is a followup to a brief case intended as a vehicle educators can use to introduce cases to a direction or management course, and to start a conversation about what organizational 'effectiveness' looks like. The case reviews experience of two managers in top English soccer teams.
Tips in the first part of the case provides advice about team operation (wins and losses), supervisor popularity, and such factors that affect outlooks on effectiveness. The second part of the case demonstrates choices about who was really 'fired' which may surprise some.
