The loss of trust, both amongst people and between companies and institutions, is one of the fallouts of the catastrophe. The author consider the secret for recovery lies in understanding the foundations of trust in order to restore it. According to his evaluation, trust has real, practical, economic value that increases efficiency and enables the creation of worth and other goods.
However rather than executing measures to deal with presence or the lack of it and simply computing its value, the better way to develop trust is through greater dedication to values for example honour and integrity.
