The Access to Medicine Index (A): Engaging Stakeholders and Attracting Funding  Case Solution

The creator of the Access to Medicine Structure, based in the Netherlands, had an objective to research study and release a biannual, international study of pharmaceutical business and their rankings, in regards to their results in supplying required medications to individuals in establishing nations. When the very first 2 models of the Access to Medicine Index (ATMI) were released in 2008 and 2010 (see case A), one of the most popular obstacles were engaging stakeholders-government, pharmaceutical companies, not-for-profit companies, financiers, and others-and protecting funding to support continuous research study and analyses. In 2016, the creator was getting ready for the ATMI's 5th model (see case B, W17013), and he had a three-point concentration: to enhance engagement with pharmaceutical business in an effort to improve the impact of the ATMI on business' practices; to include the views of clients into the ATMI; and to contract with federal governments and regulators in the establishing nations, where residents needed access to medications.
