Augustine Heard & Co.: Building a Family Business in the China Trade (B) Case Solution
This is just an excerpt. This case is about LEADERSHIP & MANAGING PEOPLE
PUBLICATION DATE: June 16, 2016
In 1861, the Heard siblings dealt with a choice: should they continue their family company's business design that had made them an effective commission home in China, or was it time to earn essential changes to their work? This case exposes that the bros chose to keep the condition quo, mostly because of an absence of decision-making system among the siblings. The company quickly went from top to bottom, prior to stating insolvency in 1875.
