Intuit in the "Spotlight" employee recognition system has quickly become an integral part of the culture of the company, after it was introduced in late 2004. The program includes any employee in recognition of outstanding performance of any other employee, sending online "thank you" to the employee with a copy of the recipient's manager. The program also allowed senior managers and individual contributors, to give the prizes, which can be used for gift certificates to employees for exceptional performance.
