Cimetrics Technology (A1) Case Solution
Jim Lee, the president of Cimetrics (who is a young, fast growing, applications startup) is reevaluating his modest business's geographically dispersed product development version. In order tomake the most of gifted low cost labor in Russia, the firm has relied on two software engineering teams in Russia to develop its products.
Bridging cultural differences between the Russian teams, their Toronto-based supervisor, and the firm's Boston-based direction hasn't been simple, yet. After a Russian engineer (brought to Boston at Cimetrics' expense) requests to relocate back to Russia, Lee decides to reevaluate the situation.
