The family company began with one grocery shop in 1906 and; by 1974; had actually grown into a huge personal business that consisted of grocery stores; alcohol shops and genuine estate. While rivals might not appear to stop the Owens family company; fractured family relationships and competitions triggered substantial issues.
Efforts by one branch of the family to prevent the type of issues that caused the department of the initial family company are detailed. Governance and ownership concerns now dealt with by the next generation are highlighted. The C case brings individuals current with the development of the Richard Owens family constitution and governance policies executed in order to help secure the family company for the future.
