The case illustrates the potential companies must drive innovation as a way to reach challenging CO2 reduction targets. Climate Savers is a program to transform sector and business into pioneers on energy and climate options. Tetra Pak’s efforts to align market businesses, manufacturing sites and providers with its climate targets had required major organizational change.
By empowering shop floor teams to originate and investigate new approaches to energy efficiency along the supply chain, the company created a structure that enables organic innovation to occur. Learning objectives: 1) Provide effective arguments that challenging CO2 reduction goals cause innovation and are therefore good for business development and growth. 2) Inspire business leaders to adopt successful management initiatives for rolling out innovative energy-efficiency initiatives. 3) Show good practices to make certain internal alignment for CO2 reduction projects. 4) Inspire business leaders to engage in close partnerships with providers to reduce CO2 emissions.
