This exercise evaluates one's exposure to the remaining portion of the world's individuals. A string of worksheets require the respondents to check off the number and names of states they have visited and the corresponding portion of world population which each country represents. The result will necessarily be the recognition that together they have seen considerably, even if separately some have seen by summing a group's collective exposure to the planet's people.
The teaching note provides why there is such a high variability in individual profiles; the consequences of each profile for one's business livelihood assignments and discussion questions which look at; and, what it would take for the respondent to alter his or her profile. For marketers, it underscores the requirement to collect greater base knowledge about opportunities abroad.
