The owner of the Fiddler Livestock Company, a ranching family, faces an important decision. A loan was coming due and the family needed to bring in substantially more money, and quickly, to convince the banks to refinance the loan. Its sales-raising choices comprised launching an endangered species reserve, renting ranch acreage for oil drilling, or expanding livestock production.

With an agreement, the Fiddler Livestock Organization, accompanied by the family relationships, was in the danger of being annihilated.
