In 2009, ParticipACTION Toronto not-for-profit organization that was a legendary story to inspire and maintain an active and healthy life for Canadians. Under the leadership of CEO Kelly Murumets, ParticipACTION was to lead a steering committee of representatives from the not-for-profit sector and the private sector, and academia, to develop a set of how-to "guidance for not-for-profit organization of sports and physical activities for the formation of effective partnerships with the private sector. Due to the decrease of state support to provide alternative resources and financing, and distribution of competitive sports and health organizations have been extremely interested in such partnerships. Recent advances have made ParticipACTION understand that this and other lawyers of sports organizations around the world, you need to become more strategic and innovative in attracting private companies. Coming off a successful internal restructuring and partnership with Coca-Cola, ParticipACTION had the opportunity to take part in the forthcoming 3rd International Congress on Physical Activity and Public Health Conference (ICPAPH). ICPAPH will attract more than 1,000 leaders from dozens of countries, and it would be an ideal forum for the exchange of guidelines on responsible partnership.
