John O'Callahan returned home as a new graduate, engaged to be wed. He told his parents that he and his fiancee would love to take over the family farm after their wedding in the summer. His parents, Michael and Audrey, were glad to hear that as they'd always planned that their family plantation would transition to the next generation. However they were were relatively apprehensive as well since they hadn't made formal succession plans or discussed this dilemma with their children, and did not expect the decision to come so soon. Mike and Audrey wished to make sure that any decision would consider all three of their kids along with other arrangements and also the selling price should empower them to retire comfortably. John was was presented with the task of coming up with a proposal that contained a fair worth of Cloverleaf Dairy as a starting place to get the dialogue going. Even though his parents seemed favorably disposed toward the transition, the valuation needs to fulfill all parties within the long and short term.
