In 2013, at a technology conference the two male participants passed comments on Adria Richards, a developer-evangelist, but her reactions on the remarks raised controversy. After she reported, what she realized to be sexist comments by posting a picture of the men and a comment on Twitter, both of the participants were asked to go out from the conference and one was soon terminated. It set off the firestorm during which her reactions were subjected to investigation and the major question of whether sexism frustrated ladies’ support in the technology industry gained a significant consideration.
