In 2007, Husk Power Systems was founded in India with a mission of global rural electrification. But the company found itself far behind its mission in late 2013, ultimately the founding CEO had decided to quit the company while his co-founder also wants to shift to India after resigning his job in the US and wants to develop a new management team. The company decided to transform his operations to solar microgrids from biomass gasification plants in East Africa and India.
