In 2001, the board of directors at Dovercourt Recreation Centre appointed a new president, who encounters an issue. The facility based in Ottawa, Ontario. In view of an ineffective performance assessment, the executive director put the resignation as the only option for him. He has gained a leading position among the staff for his energetic support to minimize populations and has accomplished outstanding career in operating a business and promoting its projects across the entire city. Although, his informal management style made him stressful as it does not align with the board’s requirement for particular monthly reporting. He has to improve the unproductive board meetings, but he quickly found that the major cause lies in the conflict between the board and the executive director. He was sure that he could figure out an appropriate alternative by utilizing his consulting experience to secure the at-risk reputation of the Centre, he needs to develop a plan and implement it quickly.
