As varied environmental legislation developed around the world, the company may be in the "gray zone", as the authors explain in a new document on the subject. This creates challenges, but also opportunities for companies to refine operations in four areas: the creation of a network, a rethinking of design, creating a closed supply chain, and the introduction of new technologies and business models. The authors believe that the individual producer responsibility, based on the share of electronic waste or e-waste, each side makes for processing, can bring the greatest long-term benefit. Even better would be to have incentives that are the product life cycle and prevent e-waste from the start.
