1.      Can the building be completed on time?

Following are the results analyzed from the Gantt Chart Microsoft Project. The day has been calculated according to the given time. Average has been taken for the expected range of uncertain days.

Most likely the project was going near to be completed on Monday, January 4th, 2010(including inspection). Millwork for bookstore/kitchen/café was expected to be done between 15 to 21 days. Average of 18 days has been taken in order to check the expectation of project completion with most likely aspects. Same goes for inserting concrete at carpeted area where 6.5 days have been expected rather than 5 or 8 days. In the same way, 32 days has been taken for formulation and to install wood flooring rather than 26 or 38 days. Door hardware days are 6.5 days and 7.5 days has been taken to account for Architect punch list and 7.5 days is taken for the concrete deck.

If the plan turned into very a defensive mood and an uncertainty took place at its maximum, then the project was going to be completed on Thursday, January 28, 2010. We are adding back the days that have been given as per the averages. It includes 5 days of receive documents, 3 days has been added for Millwork for bookstore/kitchen/café that is 21 days. Same goes for inserting concrete at carpeted area where 1.5 has been taken added to the average i.e. 8. In the same way, extra 6 days are added to the process of formulation and to install wood flooring that makes it 38. Door hardware days are 6.5, 10 days has been taken to account for Architect punch list as well as for the concrete deck.

If the plan has been analyzed with 100% efficiency taken into account and all subcontractors did their best and would stick to the plan, then the project was going to be completed on Monday, December 14th, 2009. We took all the first possible day of material delivery. 10 days has been taken for receiving documents, 15 days have adjusted for Millwork for bookstore/kitchen/café that was 21 days. Inserting concrete at carpeted area was planned to be completed in 6.5 days, now we took 5 days to complete the same task. In the same way 6 days are subtracted for the process of formulation and to install wood flooring that takes it 26 days to complete. Door hardware days are 5, 5 days has been taken for Architect punch list and for the concrete deck.

Project can only be completed if Grott will go for crash activity approach. Even though the requirement for the ceremony is fulfilled because the auditorium is going to be available for use by the deadline. It is also analyzed that rest of the work still remained uncompleted and the project is going to miss the deadline. Finishing of book store, the terrace and exterior related work of the structure will be in pipeline.......................................
