In January 2005, Dr. Mid Chhi Vun, director of the Cambodian National Center for HIV / AIDS, Dermatology and STDs (NCHADS), you must decide how to control the spread of HIV / AIDS and to save the lives of thousands of Cambodians who died from it each year. In the seven years since Dr. Vun was appointed director, NCHADS built an organization that is transparent and efficient, has carried out a nationwide 100 percent condom use program, has created a system that allowed people to voluntarily seek confidential counseling and testing, and introduced a series of guidelines and procedures for health care providers to identify HIV-positive patients in clinics and associated with NGOs providing financial and emotional support. Now, however, Dr. Vun face decisions on three initiatives that are critical to the expansion of care and treatment in their own country. First, he had to decide as quickly and cost-effectively improve the national HIV / AIDS laboratory infrastructure support. Second, Dr. Vun, needed to improve the logistics and supply chain management in order to get the best price and provide patients with access to life-saving medicines. Finally, he had to figure out how to provide sustainable care and treatment of thousands of Cambodian children living with HIV / AIDS. "Hide
