Mike Lazaridis, co-CEO of Research In Motion (RIM), faced with a situation truly catastrophic proportions. Earlier this week, service outages started occurring on popular devices from RIM smartphone BlackBerry, affecting more than 30 million BlackBerry users around the world. For three days, RIM engineers have worked around the clock to fix common technical problems. However, the company that provides only brief comments to the public, many consumers and industry officials are becoming increasingly frustrated.
