In February 1999, Amy Biehl Foundation Trust (ABFT) is preparing to expand its activities outside of Cape Town, South Africa. However, their plans were challenged by a blow to the Community Bakery, mission-driven, income-generating enterprises connected to ABFT, and financial irregularities at one of its new programs, student parents and teachers program.
