In February 2007, Jonah began Nobleza Marina Ghana Vida ("MGV") in coastal Davao in the Philippines, which has historically been home to many fishermen living in poverty. MGV sold hatchery-bred fish fry seeds, fresh fish and fish products packed in its own processing plant. MGV basic social purpose is to help the poor living in the area through work or business opportunities, so that one day they could raise their families out of poverty.
