Environmental degradation has led many governments and customers to put pressure on the business to make their work more benign to the environment. The case illustrates an example of an effective corporate social responsibility. In particular, it shows how a small budget increase supply chain can dramatically reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in the transportation of LCD TVs with its production bases in the distribution center.
